I Now Offer Relationship Money Coaching
I coach people in loving and committed relationships of all kinds who want to make shared financial choices that center community and social justice.
Over the last five years of being a money coach, I’ve learned that to truly break the vicious cycle of wealth accumulation, we need to strengthen our most important relationships. Inheriting wealth usually strains our relationships. When we have excess in a world of scarcity, we experience tension, awkwardness, resentment, and confusion with others. We long to be close to others, but we feel more and more estranged.
To have fulfilling relationships, we must do the deeper work of examining ways we are using wealth as an obstacle to intimacy. We feel distant from those we most love because we are unable to talk transparently about money; we use money to avoid relying on others for support; we lie about our finances in order to fit in and then feel lonely because of those lies; we do not fully believe we are capable or deserving of true belonging without our wealth. The more we are distant from others, the less we are motivated to share our resources, and the less happy and fulfilled we are in our lives.
Until you have the skills to navigate conversations about money, class, and power with grace, and until you have a deeply resilient network of relationships, you will not be able to radically redistribute your wealth. You will stay stuck relying on money for security, only give away a fraction of your wealth, and miss opportunities to build community. You won’t ever have to build interdependence with others.
On the other side of those feelings of scarcity and fear is a life that is more connected, fulfilling, rooted, and alive– where resources get unstuck and flow to those who need it and where decisions are made rooted in relationships, not hierarchy. This isn’t a utopian fantasy– this is something you are uniquely positioned to help make happen, both because you value community and social justice and because you have the resources to support radical visions to succeed.
That’s where I’d love to step in and support you.
Relationship money coaching will help you and your loved ones:

Money coaching is not a service to help you give away a small amount of money– this is about changing your perspective, your relationships, and your life. This is about making the trade of excess wealth for a life of deep relationships.
